| Team Emma's Enchantment is a story about an amazing group of friends and relatives who have decided to rally around an inspirational little girl named Emma. Emma was diagnosed with a brain tumor nearly 8 years ago and has gone through many procedures. The Granite Bowl staff is supporting Team Emma by raising awareness as well as providing a charitable contribution to her organization. |
| Background | |
The Granite Bowl is organized by the Event Management and Marketing class at Southern New Hampshire University. Offered in the spring, this class is part of a fast-growing Sport Management program. In this class, students obtain first-hand experience in organizing, managing, and running an event.
This is the sixth year of the Granite Bowl tournament. As a non-profit organization, funding comes from our generous corporate sponsors and through registration fees. All proceeds from this year's tournament will be put towards the Team Emma's Enchantment,Tuffy Phelps scholarship fund, and next year's event. Through this event we hope to strengthen our ties with the surrounding communities and become a long-standing flag football tradition.
